Man,
What a day! It was all rainy and very ugly outside, not the picture perfect game day for the Alabama Auburn Ironbowl. It seemed like it was going to either rain or drizzle all day long. Well, matter of fact, it did drizzle but that didn't stop the excitement that filled the air around Tuscaloosa and at our house. We envited some friends over and of those, 2 were Auburn fans...and I do mean Auburn fans, the "beat bama buttons, the Auburn shirts etc...." So here we all sit watching the game, with the exception of Doug Jr., he couldn't sit down the entire game. We had a blast and we yelled, jumped around, high fived, hugged and kissed and what ever else we could do to celebrate Alabama's victory over Auburn. Our friends that were Auburn fans, Tim and Candi Morris, they were great sports and we did have a great time with them.. Tim brought over Nickodemous mix and made a batch of them up. I didn't drink any, they were really sweet but the others did indulge and needless to say, they all "enjoyed" them and the game very much. I've never seen Susan so excited about a game as she was, she enjoyed herself like never before.
Prior to the game, Doug Jr's mom took him to the quad to meet up with some friends of his and he never found them and couldn't get them on the phone. He called Brad and Allison and found out that they were not there, they were up town tailgateing so he called me. I told him to walk up to the University Club that Katie would pick him up. Thanks Katie for going to get him. I felt so bad for him, being out there and not being able to find anyone to hang with. Anyway, we got him to the house.
Needless to say, we all had a great time and enjoyed all the company and fellowship. Our plans are to do it again next Saturday when Alabama puts it to Florida in an upset of the season.
