Well, here are the before, during and after pictures of all my hard work during my vacation this past week. It was alot of hard work but the end result was well worth it all. As you will see, the prep work was tough, cleaning, filling holes, sanding etc. That is always fun. Then came the taping of the entire room..man that was a job. Thank goodness I ran into a friend of mine when I was at Lowes and he told me about the tape despencer for the painters tape. It worked great and made it so easy to tape everything up. Only several times did I have to do it by hand. I have to thank Brad for coming over and helping me paint. Had it not been for his help, I would still be painting tonight. It sure went alot faster with his help. He helped me Sunday and then again Monday night while the ladies went and played Bunko. Yep, we worked with the ladies went and played...
Yesterday, I finished up the top portion of the brown, had to put two coats on it. I didn't get started until later in the afternoon because I stayed up so late the night before. Anyway, I got that finished and took a break. I went with Brad to run an errand and that took us over an hour so when I got home I got on the computer and checked my email. Well, needless to say, it was about 9pm or after when I got started again. I began pulling tape and that was no easy task. I was very careful because I didn't won't it to pull any paint. Yes, I'm OCD to say the least.
It took me several hour to get all the tape off and yes, there were a few places that pulled. I tried my best not to let it bother me but I just couldn't help it. So, about 12:30am, I decided that I had to fix the small problem areas. You would have never noticed them but I knew that they were there so I had to fix them. I finished up with this, two small cups of paint, two small paint brushes and a ladder. I moved that darn thing all around the room again. But I did get if finished so that I was satisfied. So, after all that, I didn't get in the bed until around 3am and I slept in until about 1pm this afternoon. I got up and went hard at it until 9 pm when my Dad and Step Mom got here from Dallas. I had everything done except the sheets and they were still drying. I woke Susan up when I called Daddy to find out where they were and told her that they would be here in a second. Well, I told her about the sheets and she got all up set at me because she wanted the room totally finished. Yes, it was my fault because I didn't put the sheets in there before drying some other clothes. Ok, I take the blame....but it went fine, I finally finished and the room was done. I just hated that my step mom had to help me finish putting the sheets on the bed along with Susan. But like I said, it is finished. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
