Well, I can not remember a Fathers Day that meant so much to me. I was blessed to have my dad and step mom with me as well as my kids. I only lacked one, April.....It would have been a full house had she been with me on this special day but she has her hands full with my 3 wonderful grandchildren. We went to church on Sunday then came home to a wonderful dinner that my wife had so graciously cooked. After eating, we took a nap for an hour or so and then Me, my dad and my son went fishing. We fished from about 4:30 until about 8:30 and had the time of our lives. It meant so much to me for my dad and my son to be able to fish together. They had a blast. The reason it meant so much to me was the simple fact that they got to spend some quality time together and my dad got to give my son some tips on fishing. Memories that will last a life time. I don't have alot of memories with my granddad and it is very important to me that my son have memories with my dad. Life is way to short not to enjoy the time that we have together. After we got home, about 9:30pm, we all sat around and then my son got to playing the quitar and we laughed till we all hurt. It was so much fun.
Monday, we all got together at our house and had a hotdog cookout and swam. The grandkids, April, Allison, Brad, Doug Jr., Katie, Pawpaw, Mawmaw, Susan and Myself.... I had a blast with the grandsons....we swam like fish for several hours. What a blessing it was to have my entire family here at our home. Man, I couldn't have ask for a better fathers day weekend. God is SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!
To my family, please know that I love each and everyone of you. You all hold a very special place in my heart. Each of you will never ever know just how special you are and what you mean to "POP". I love you guys....
